What is weird and wonderful Photography?
This project is about thinking outside of the box. They are all pictures which make you have to look twice before you understand it or it confuses you even more. All the picture are almost supernatural and very uncommon and it is what make them special and unique in their own way. Most of them have been edited and have been added filters using Photoshop or any other editing apps/websites.
The Photographers..
The first photographer I am going to analyse is called Arthur Tress..
Arthur Tress is an American Photographer that is aged 78 which means he was born on 24th of November 1940. He is also known for his exposition of the human body and this photographer will fit in my theme for this project.
His work is very dark and depressing which fits in with my project which is dreams and nightmares.
This is one of the most impressive photos out of the six as it requires a lot of editing skills. I also think that the face of the boy sends a very powerful feeling. that feeling being scariness. I think this image is good as the focus is on the boys face which makes his facial expression highlighted even more. the use of the roots coming out of his hands also sets a freaky tone to the photo.
This is another another one of the most impressive images also as the image is highlighting him being in some sort of crash maybe, this is implied by the use of the reflection in the mirror and the cuts on his face, also to the left of the mirror there is some sort of broken thing. The image sends quite a realistic feeling but is also quite scary because of the thought of a crash and also being injured.
Yet another photographer..
Alex Stoddard..
Alex Stoddard was born in Jacksonville, Florida and spent his childhood growing up in the deep south. He began taking self-portraits at the age of sixteen in the woods behind his Georgian home, and this stirred in him the need to create and express himself through the craft of photography.
Alex Stoddard’s work focuses on the human form and the process of infusing it with natural surroundings. He also strives to create whimsical and surreal portraits.

This is one of the impressive photos I've ever seen of a photographer. i don't know what it is about this picture but i really like it.In this image there is a man and a woman that are headless and the little girl is looking back at the camera, its almost like the image is trying to portray that the little girl is scared because she doesn't know who shes walking away with because they're headless.
I think that this is one of the better images as it looks like there is a spirit or a demon coming out of the wall and is trying to gain control over the other persons body, this makes for a good image as there is a contrast between good and evil, night and day ,rain or shine. At least that is what this image makes me think of.
The final photographer..
Nicolas Bruno..
For this photographer Nicolas Bruno, he captures the horrors of sleep paralysis and his work will fit in with my project of dreams and nightmares.
This photo really stood out for me as I like the way the picture focused on the target behind the person. I also like the way that there are other targets in the picture with arrows in them almost like there is not a head in the one in front of the target. On the whole though, this photo is very surreal and also very scary.
This photo also really stood out to me as it is almost like the person is being controlled by the ships whereas the ships are controlling him. I also like this image as it looks like he has a black eye, which is a representative of the hardships he had whilst in the water.
For my first shoot..
For my first shoot I am going to take photos of beatas face and edit demonic eyes over her actual eyes and it will make her look really dark and depressing.
My Final Edited Image..
I would like to say that I think this is good for a first shoot. I think this because I like the look of the demonic eyes. Although I will say there is some room for improvement. For example, the background and I think I could've done more with the mouth and also the face could be a bit more distorted.
My Second Shoot..
For my next shoot i would like to take pictures of Harry's face and then edit it into a microwave to make it look like there is a head in the microwave.
Final Edited image
This here is the final edited image of Harry's face in the microwave. This shoot proved to be difficult and i had to get over some obstacles to make the final image.
Shoot 3....
Shoot 4
My plan is to take pictures of a door and then edit like an idea of hell onto the other side of the door when the door is open.
